Project Scoping
In order to ensure that Silverbear Membership’s implementation fits into your membership operations in the way that you need it to, the first phase of any Silverbear project is to generate a project Statement of Work (SoW).
The SoW is generally the result of a one to two day strategic workshop, attended by your membership management team and facilitated by an experienced Silverbear consultant. This provides the blueprint for the Professional Membership solution implementation.
An Agile Approach
Silverbear’s projects are planned and managed as structured ‘agile’ work packages – with each work package having defined objectives, requirements and benefits both in their own right and to deliver the overall objectives, requirements and benefits of the complete programme.
This agile approach gives the overall project the flexibility it needs to react to changing business, technology and timescale demands, as it continues over the overall development timescales and beyond. The overall project therefore continually delivers real, tangible benefits to all of the project stakeholders – staff, members, and partners alike – whilst always being adaptable to any changing business or technical influences that it needs to react to.
Data Migration
Moving from one membership management solution to another can often be a fraught activity. It is important to ensure that the data migration strategy is as well planned as the rest of your solution implementation and that it’s not treated as a convenient afterthought, to avoid the possible loss of any data or key membership services.
The process of migrating data from a previous solution to a new one opens up the opportunities to clean the data as part of the process ie. de-duplicating data and ensuring that key field values (addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses etc.) are correct – all of which enhances the efficiency of your membership management processes and the communication experience available to your members.

Integration with Office Productivity Tools
Based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Silverbear Membership has a unique level of seamless integration with the Microsoft Office Productivity toolset. Levels of integration include:
- Seamlessly embedded into Microsoft Outlook. Your staff can manage the membership base through the familiar look and feel of MS Outlook
- Seamless integration with Microsoft Outlook functionality including meeting appointments, tasks, email receipts and reminder
- Seamless use of Microsoft Word mail merge templates to create template letters and emails, and
- Seamless generation of Excel spreadsheets from data contained in the membership solution via a single mouse click.
All of these integration features make the membership solution easy and familiar to use.
